hi there i wounder if i could use the picture of the SS-Skijaeger Kompanie Norge. 26.5.1943 byl Jonassen zabit, když šlápl na minu. V 7.1943 odjela rota z fronty k reorganizaci na prapor. to a book i writing its about German invation of Norway and about swedens help to the nabour. Please contact me on the mail adress.

They deserved a Badge in gold and diamonds there has never been such a true Terror in the skies!! How American pilots could face such fear? Good thing America was well rested when they jumped in the ring. Germany I believe was at war for a while I have heard it was Hitlers youth that helped out in battle on D-Day? Absolute Terror to face the German Luftwaffe to have lived threw that is really living.

I have always been interested in meeting a real SS Officer. My giant German family tree was left in Prussia, Germany i want to know how it was for our Bischoff, Finken, and Ritter, Riehm ect… familys? I know we had German soldiers my great uncle Bischoff had to fight for America he was a great translator being he couldnt speak English until he was in his late 20s. My grandmother learned at 43. I am a proud American German i am still 75% German the rest English Scot-Irish Norwegian.

How far back in ones family tree do they search to be SS? I searched my mothers to 1459 and she was just Prussian German. My father to 1120 and he was German English Scot-Irish Norwegian. Thats not to bad couldnt be SS but its 60% and English is German Anglo=Saxon any way.
